It seems there are a lot of people here that are extremely disappointed in the Charge 5 because they are having so many issues with it.
As someone who is looking for a smaller/slimmer non-Apple fitness tracker to wear when I play pickleball/tennis to track steps, heartrate, calories, etc. for under $130, what other options are there out there other than the Charge 5? To me this seems to be the best option available.
I love my VivoActive 3 for everyday wear and when I'm walking/jogging/running but it feels too big when playing pickleball/tennis.

@TripleB67 something to keep in mind is that a lot of people come to this forum because they are looking for help solving a problem with their tracker. It's not exactly representative of most people's experience. Most people don't have any problems with their Charge 5 and they don't come here looking for help.
I like the Charge 5 a lot. It has some nice smart watch features, but it's still a small tracker. It can't count stairs and it never will. If that's important to you, this isn't the device for you. Otherwise, it works really well tracking activity and sleep and all the things you would expect it to do. It has the most accurate heart rate tracking I've seen on any Fitbit. I've used mine alongside a Polar chest strap and they're very close.
I have several friends who enjoy their Charge 5. None of us have had any problems with them. Do you have friends or family members who use the Charge 5? Maybe you can find people in real life to share their experiences with you to get an idea of what you could expect from a Charge 5.

I second what @alexthecat said. I’m geek and I’ve tried many different versions of the Fitbit trackers and the Apple Watch and I want to tell you that the Charge 5 is my current favorite. It does what I wanted to do, it looks good on my wrist, and I get good battery life out of it which means I can wear it to bed to get my sleep reports. I have been recommending this watch to friends and family, @TripleB67 .
