Hi, just wondering if anyone can get Facebook, instagram, Snapchat etc notifications on their charge 5? I’m using with an iPhone.
If not do you think or know if Fitbit will be updating the Charge 5 to receive them?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Shanks12.
Thank you for sharing your inquiry about the notifications with the Charge 5.
I was able to check this on my Charge 5 and I was able to select Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat as third party apps to receive notifications on the device. Please try going to your Account on the Fitbit app > On the Today tab, tap on your profile picture at the top left > Tap on Charge 5 > Tap Notifications > then App notifications where you can select the apps you prefer. You can read more about notifications here as well.
Hope this helps, I'll be around.

Hey mate, I’ve tried all of that and the only notifications I can get are phone calls, messages. I can’t get any other notifications and none show up when I follow those steps. I’ve reset and restarted the Fitbit numerous times but still can’t get any other apps to show up so I can select them. Any suggestions?

Hello @Shanks12
On an iPhone, when you go to the screen that shows choices for Notifications, it has Calls, Text Messages and Calendar Events that you can toggle on or off.
Underneath that there's App Notifications.
If you tap on that it should bring up a whole list of Apps that are on your phone that you could turn on or off.
If you can't find the ones you're looking for in the list, move the screen down slightly and a search box appears at the top. You can use that to find other Apps.
Is that the same on your phone?
I'm hoping that will help a bit.

Hey @Wibby
Yep I’ve done all that and still no apps come up that I can select for some reason. Plus I’ve gone right through every setting and notifications setting both on the Fitbit app and in the iPhone and still no luck. I’m not sure if there’s something I’m missing but I’ve trouble shot everything Fitbit says to do, iOS it’s most recent update as is the Fitbit so I don’t know what the problem is.

Oh dear @Shanks12
That's really strange. It might be worth restarting your phone and restarting your tracker to see if anything changes. Sometimes a restart fixes things, especially with iPhones...

@Wibby Yeh this will be my last attempt at trying to fix the problem, I’ll restart both and see if that works. If not then I guess I won’t be getting any notifications. Might have to swap to Apple Watch which I didn’t want to but at least I’ll get notifications for everything which besides the fitness tracking was a major draw card.
cheers!

@Shanks12 Thank you for your reply.
That's a bit strange, since you should be able to see all the apps when you follow the instructions mentioned earlier.
If you haven't done so already, you can force quit the app as described here and reopen it to see if you're able to see all the options. If you're still having trouble, you can also try to disable notifications completely and they set them up again following these steps.
I'll be around.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm in the same boat, I've tried everything. I don't think people are understanding the question.

@Olivmd1 Thanks for confirming that you've been having the same inconvenience with your Charge 5.
Before considering other options, could you please confirm if you already tried all the steps mentioned here earlier? Let me know if you've selected these apps when setting up notifications and you still don't receive the notifications.
I'll e around.
