Sudden device stop

Battery was more than half full.  Turned off auto screen to save battery. Had to dbl tap to see anything. Thought i saw flash of screen or green underneath & now nothing. Device gets warm on charger. 
What’s button on cord? No visible signs of damage. 
Please help. TYIA

Hi, @BoysNToys below is a picture of the button on the cord.  You need this to do a restart if your screen is not displaying properly.  It can also help to change the clock face (instructions in the link).  If changing the clock face solves the issue then you can return to the previous clock face you chose if you prefer.

It is not unusual for any device to get a *little* bit warm while charging, but if it is actually getting hot then please be careful!  If it gets hot while charging I would recommend unplugging it and getting in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.fitbit.com .
