Sync issues

I have a new to me charge 5 given to me by a friend. I managed to pair it and it works mainly (can't access settings on the device) BUT in the app there's a message at the top of the screen which says: "to sync reliably, let fitbit link to your charge 5".

But the device is linked and does sync. It shows on the screen where it shows connected to fitbit.  

Any suggestions please? Thanks!

Hello @DebbieEllen 

Although I'm not sure that this will work for your issue, you can try clearing the cache for the Fitbit app on your phone. Then restart both your phone and the Charge 5. This might clear the message.
