I pre-ordered the charge 5 thinking it will have the spotify feature. It is unfortunate that they removed it. Bad move Fitbit. I'm returning my charge 5 because of this. I saw someone did a video where you can manually add spotify, but it's only on androids.
Moderator edit: subject for clarity

Best AnswerWhat do you mean for more information about using the Spotify app? There is no Spotify app. What about providing some information about when the app will be available?
Could you clarify that we can or can’t control Spotify with our Charge 5s? I just bought one yesterday and this was a main upgrade point for me over the Luxe. In case it’s related info, I have an iPhone.
No you can't. In Android there is a workaround but not for iPhone.
there is no spotify app that IS the issue!!
I am sorry to say that the work around does not work for ALL Charge 5. It did not work for me. (and it was not a very efficiant way to controll the Spotify app) It all seemed to be an unintentional bugg in the Charge 5 system.

I don't know anything about I-phone, but give this a try and report back to the community. Dose this trick work with I-phone or not?
