Too many steps

Hi,

This is my first Fitbit because I wanted to track my steps more precisely compared to my iPhone.

However, the Fitbit tracks way too many steps .. when I walk with my iPhone and Fitbit the Fitbit tracks around 200 steps more. And in total the difference today (van 06.00 till 13.48) is almost 2000 steps. I made a few short walks in the office, but never 2000. It also tracks step when i'm in the train and working at my desk.

- I have set up the right wrist (non-dominant)

- I have set up the right step length
- GSP is dynamic (and tracking on my iPhone is activated)

- I restarted my fitbit: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm

Don't know how to fix it. Anyone can help?

Hi, @SunsetRunner , if you find that you are getting too many (false) steps it can help to wear your Fitbit on your non dominant hand (it sounds like that is what you are doing) but in the app set it to “dominant”.  Changing the setting to dominant will make the Fitbit somewhat less sensitive, so that fewer false steps get counted.
