Fitbit Charge 4 broke shortly after warranty expired. Broken plastic piece that band attaches to. I decided to try again, and purchased a Fitbit 5. One month out of warranty, the Charge 5 would not turn on. Customer service spent half an hour trying to walk me through a reset, but this did not work. Two up; two down. Neither watch was abused in any way. In first case, Fitbit offered a discount on another product, one that would do me no good. This time around, they offered a 35% discount. Might buy another brand instead, with the hope of a longer lasting product.

Hi @Zach10, it's good to see you around in the Community forums for the first time.
I'm sorry to see that you've experienced trouble with your Charge 5 and Charge 4 devices. It is particularly difficult when the device is no longer covered by the warranty, but even tough Support is eager to help with any problem you may experience with the product, they need to adhere to the official warranty policy, this would start counting from the original date of purchase.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback; comments from users are always useful to continue to improving the quality of products and services.

Me too!
My Charge 5 stopped 1 year and 1 month after I bought it.
Fitbit did exactly nothing to help me. They finally offered that stupid 35% discount. I'm not taking it. They have gotten the last of my money!
Fitbit knows about this issue and is not fixing it and is still selling the product.

I have had 2 Fitbit watches break where the band attaches. Won’t buy another one now.
