Unable to install new clock faces on Charge 5

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

There are 4 new clock faces - Juxtaposed, Bifrost, Brisk, and Glimpse which are unable to be installed (Install button is greyed out with no other details).

There is another thread on this which the moderator incorrectly closed as no solution was ever provided:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-5/Unable-to-install-new-clock-faces-on-Charge-5/td-p/5555668

Support is unhelpful in this situation. They recommend the standard steps - uninstall/reinstall of application, unpair/repair bluetooth, and hard reset, none of which resolve the issue.

I suspect this issue is related to another issue around the newest firmware version upgrade being rolled back:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-5/How-do-I-update-my-Charge-5-to-the-latest-firmware-version/...

I am wondering if these clock faces are only available for the latest version of firmware for the Charge 5 (version 194.91) which is no longer possible to upgrade to as it has been officially rolled back due to numerous bugs it introduced.

My Charge 5 is stuck on version 1.188.58 as well. Is anyone else with this version unable to install these clock faces? If you were able to upgrade in the brief time the new version was available, are you able to install these? Curious if this is the issue or something else.

Thank you

Hello @Travis_2244

The additional clock faces for the Charge 5 were part of firmware update 194.91. Those of us who didn't get this update aren't able to install/use these clock faces.

Thanks! This is the information I was looking for. Hopefully they release a stable version one of these days.

Hello @Travis_2244

You're welcome for the information, although I wish it was more positive. For now, we'll have to keep watching for the notification that a stable firmware update has been released.
