My Charge 5 screen recently started being unresponsive and wouldn’t log steps or sync. I did several reboots and charges (the battery seemed to not fully charge and drained fairly quickly). For a while the unit did absolutely nothing and the screen stayed black. I didn’t drop it and there was no water damage. Currently it goes from the boot up icon, to black screen, to the date and time that never advance, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to share the information regarding this difficulty that you are experiencing with your Charge 5. Thank you for trying to fix it on your own.
Please, even if you already tried to restart the device, I'd ask you to restart the device again (as indicated below) and follow the steps listed here below:
If restarting doesn't resolve the issue, change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original. How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

The restart doesn't seem to work for me (logo doesn't appear so I can only assume the restart didnt occur)
I also tried to install a new clock face but the device wouldn't connect to my app. Then I restarted from the device, and it restarted and I was able to change the clock face. But that didn't work to fix anything.
