Unusually High Activity Messing Up My Readiness Score

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am so irritated with this new charge 5! I just got it and every 3-5 days it bed one or two days of extraordinary activity and that ruins my readiness score.

The curious thing is, I have been injured the whole time and can't/haven't had the activity it thinks I have. I have texted with support a half dozen times, done all kinds of troubleshooting but nothing resolves it!  I think it's the device but I can't get anyone to listen. Help!

Hello @Gidg

Sorry to see that you're having problems with your device recording high activity for you.

I understand that you are injured and don't think that you could have the level of activity that your device is tracking. From your post, it sounds like you are seeing relatively high values for your Active Zone Minutes.

Active Zone Minutes (AZM) are based on your heart rate. You earn Active Zone Minutes for time spent in the fat burn, cardio, or peak heart-rate zones: 1 AZM for each minute you're in the Fat Burn zone and 2 AZM for each minute you’re in the Cardio or Peak zones. Heart-rate zones are personalized based on your fitness level and age.

It seems that you are earning AZM during the day due to elevated heart rate. You can review the AZM data in your Fitbit app to see when you accumulated the "excess" AZM. It might help explain why your device recorded them.

Just to share, I've seen where I "earned" AZM while watching an exciting video or movie because my heart rate went up.

No. It's not recording my heartrate accurately. I have never had this occur except with this new device. This is my 7th fitbit of various models and my 3rd charge 5 and the first time I've ever experienced this.
