Update broke my charge 5

After the update Oct 9, the heartrate monitor on my 2yo Charge 5 does not work and the battery runs down within a day. I have tried turning heartrate on and off and syncing. I have reset the device 20 times probably. I have removed some of the optional apps. I have changed the clockface. Is there a fix?

Also none of the help links within the app work. That's frustrating.

After last update, synchronisation was longer, now it doesn't work anymore. My Fitbit suddenly showed me watch and payments in the same time for o e second and since that moment doesn't work. When I tap it twice I only see 5  diamond shapes. It doesn't work anymore. Did you have similar situation?

No. Everything works except for the heartrate and the charge time.
