I bought the Fitbit Charge 5. Now I don't see how to use the GPS.
I installed dynamic GPS.
When I go to excersise I see running cycling etc but not walking.
I want to use GPS from the watch and not the phone. How do I get that? Or is it bad and is it better through the smart phone. Than I better use my old Fitbit.

In the app on your phone, click on your profile picture to access the settings menu, then click on Charge 5. Scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts. This is where you can add, change or delete the exercises you see on your tracker.
Using the built-in GPS will drain the tracker battery much faster than using your phone.

Hello @Eef01 and welcome to the Community forum. Please read this Help article: How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device? There is a section with instructions on how to change, reorder and personalize your exercise shortcut list.
You might want to experiment with the built-in GPS, compared with dynamic and phone. Built-in GPS uses a lot of Fitbit battery. Phone uses phone battery and most phones have more battery life than Fitbit batteries. Personally, I don't track many walks with GPS at all. I know the distance from experience. I only use GPS for new and different activities.
Personally, I would set it on dynamic. I always have my phone with me. Sadly, I can't do it with my Versa 3 as it only has built-in GPS.

You should be able to set it up. Go to your phone app and then tap on your profile photo (upper left corner). This gets you to the settings page. Scroll down and tap the Charge 5 tile. This brings you to the C5 settings page. Scroll down and tap on the Exercise Shortcuts tile. The unit will store up to 6 exercise shortcuts. You can remove a stored shortcut by swiping left. The + sign on the upper right will bring up all available shortcuts and you should see Walk as one of the options. Tap the Walk checkbox to bring it into the list.

You start the GPS on the Charge 5 from the exercise menu on the Charge 5 screen. When you choose an exercise mode, scroll down to the GPS tab and turn it on. I have mine off always unless I want it for exercise.
