Wore my Fitbit Charge 5  in the ocean about 15 minutes. It has not worked since. I rinsed it off, dried it. It’s still not working.

Hopefully you are still within the 1 year warranty period. If you are, contact customer service ASAP and ask for replacement of your defective Charge 5.

If you check the message board, you will see that there are multiple threads complaining about this seemingly common defect in the Charge 5.

As @Surfista suggested, if your Fitbit is still under warranty (1 year in most jurisdictions; 2 years in the EU and I think in Australia) then get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.Fitbit.com .

If it is out of warranty, I would suggest running it under water for several minutes to rinse it as thoroughly as possible because the salt will do even more damage than the water.  Once it is thoroughly rinsed put it in a bag of uncooked rice for several days in order to absorb the water.  This may revive it.
