White lines charge 5

Good day,

Today I experienced a fault with my Fitbit charge 5. Battery was fully charged yesterday. This morning a few hours after my run, I noticed my device was unresponsive with a black screen. When I returned home from work, I looked up similar problems and did a reset by pressing the charging button 3 times. This appeared to restore my watch. However, a hour later, my watch was stuck showing the Fitbit logo. After attempting another reset using the charging buttons, my watch is now showing flashing white horizontal lines on a black screen. Attempting to reset the device does nothing. My phone app does not connect to my watch while it is in this state either, so I am unable to charge the watch face. Anyone have a fix for this?

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. Thanks for having taken the time trying to get things fixed yourself.
As unfortunately non of your attempts has worked, I'd suggest contacting Fitbit support for further assistance:

Update: eventually the Fitbit ran out of battery power and became completely unresponsive with a black screen even when attempting to recharge. Fitbit charge 5 was 1 year and 3 Months old so it was out of warranty. Fitbit customer support did provide a 50% off coupon for my next purchase. However, it is disappointing that my device didn’t last longer. I recall my old charge 3 becoming unresponsive a few months after a year as well.
