I brought a new fitbit charge 5 today and after I set it up it told me it needed to update. So I tried to update but it keeps on failing. I tried on another iphone and it is still not working, so I tried on my computer and it updated on my computer but when I go back to my phone it still says it needs to update?

Hello @Pineapple_cat

I’m sorry to hear about your problem.  Are you leaving it connected to the charger while you’re updating?  It needs to be connected to work.

Can you see what version number your Fitbit is on?  Mine is on 20001.149.11

Is the App on your phone on the latest version?  It might be worth checking for updates.

Are you using an iPhone or Android?  If Android, clearing your cache for the App can help.

If it’s updated on your Dashboard on your computer, when you sync your App and Charge 5, everything should match up.

Did you have a Fitbit account before?  I think if you can provide as much information as you can, someone here should be able to help.

Good luck!

Thanks, @Wibby... My watch was still not updating and I did everything you said and then it started not turning on at all... It turned  out my watch was faulty and I got a new Fitbit charge 5 and works perfectly!
