  • i wore my charge 5 in the water a few days ago and i think it got water damage. i was under the impression that its waterproof as it has a swimming exercise feature and i have worn it in the water before. the screen went black and it was unresponsive but i didnt see any water inside. i let it dry out for a couple days though and then reset it with the charger. it turned on again and charges to 100%, but the battery dies within an hour or two. the battery used to last 3-4 days before this. ive only had it for a little over a year and now its unusable. is there anything i can do or will i have to buy a new one?

On Jan 5 the gave me a one year badge.  On Jan 18 my charge 5 dropped dead.  We brought it back to life but now it won’t hold a charge.  Now I see it’s a common problem.  It’s OK.  I’ve logged my exercise for years on a spreadsheet.  I’ll not give Fitbit another chance. Who’s with me!
