Charge 5 showing a red light on the back and it's stuck on the Fitbit logo

Why does the charge 5 have a glowing red light in the back and constant static logo in the front.  I have charged it for 3 hours.

Thank you for providing the details regarding this inconvenience that you are experiencing with your Charge 5. 

Please, try to follow these steps: 

Sync the device in the Fitbit app.

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap Devices.
  2. Choose the Charge 5.
  3. Tap Sync Now.

Check for available Firmware updates.

  1. With the Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app.
    • Make sure the Fitbit device is charged.
    • Tap the Today tab > Devices > your device.
    • Tap Update (this option only appears if an update is available).
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.

Charge the Fitbit device:

  • Double-check the connection: Ensure secure connection to the charging cable and that the cable is plugged into a working USB port (computer or UL - certified wall charger).
