I see a couple other comments here, but want to underline this: the Charge 5 is not connecting properly with the iPhone. I have no trouble with other devices. I tried to change the clockface and keep getting the message "Unable to connect to device." It has connected intermittently, but not long enough to load clockface. Now I have no clockface 🙂
I've reinstalled the Charge as well as the connection a few times now, trying to troubleshoot, but no dice. Is there something amiss with the Charge hardware?
Edit: Ok, now I have the clockface in. I would delete this post, but there seems to be no option.

I get this message repeatedly just viewing clock faces in the app. It pops up for a few seconds, then goes away, then pops up, goes away, pops up, goes away, etc. I also had difficulty loading my desired clock face because of this connection issue - it took me several tries. So, there definitely seems to be an issue here. Hoping for a patch to fix it, because it's rather annoying.

I had same issue. Literally had to move my phone within inches of the Charge 5 to make it stop.

Have experienced same problem. This Bluetooth/syncing loss periodically on my iPhone is fast approaching massive hassle, obliterating the many positives that I truly like. If it continues I’ll be seeking a refund as I’m not putting up with this foolishness!

If you look at your iPhone settings/Bluetooth/charge 5, does yours also essentially flicker connected, not connected, connected etc?

Yes! That is exactly what happens. I can then turn Bluetooth off and on and WiFi off and on. That fixes only briefly! Good luck at getting it resolved!

No, I’m not seeing that there. For me, seems to be happening at the clock selection window of the app. I repeatedly click the OK button and the error repeatedly appears. However, the clock face does successfully install. As an afterthought, I wonder if this correlates to the phone's update. In case it is helpful to anyone, I'm on iOS 15.0.

Same here. Definitely Bluetooth issue. Not having problems with other devices including charge 4.

FYI: When first setting up your Charge 5, you download a simply firmware with some functions unavailable.
The final firmware starts buffering in the background to the phone. When complete the user is prompted to install this final firmware version.
The benefit is that the installation does not depend on a live Internet.
The downside, we may have to wait a half a day to 2 days to get fully setup.

I have the same issue. The Fitbit support just told me to keep checking the forum and for updates. I’m relieved I’m not the only one, but very disappointed with this Fitbit. Also doesn’t count floors. Not syncing- doesn’t auto recognize exercise, not tracking sleep properly or heartbeat- all due to Bluetooth connectivity issues!!!!
