we can all agree that there are 30 days in November, right?

today is november 30th. in the fitbit app, under active minutes, the month tab says a couple of things:

1. i'm averaging 58 active minutes per day this month.
2. i have 1506 active minutes this month.

can someone explain how both of these things can be true at the same time? alexa, google assistant, and my third grader all swear up and down that:

30 days x 58 daily average = 1,740 total, not 1,506 (a bump of 234 minutes aka 15%)
1506 monthly total / 30 days = 50.2 daily average, not 58.
1506 monthly total / 58 daily average = 25.96 days, not 30

how is that average calculated?

So you must be looking at the fitbit.com dashboard log activities month, right?  I see steps, distance, floors, and calories, but not active minutes.  I think you are looking at one of the charts that I, for one at least don't often look at.  Can you give me some more direction how to get there to see it?

I know there are lots of places to see data in different ways and we, or at least I, often assume the way I am used to looking at data is the same way others look at it.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
