stopping pushed external email alerts on my charge 5

I've checked other topics that seem like they should be about this, but all of the solutions are instead about turning off internal email notifications, which based on the menu on my fitbit app, look like they're concerned with stopping fitbit itself from e-mailing me things. That's not what I want.

To make this as clear as possible: I want to stop the tracker on my wrist from giving me notifications for incoming any and all emails on my phone. I don't want to shut off Fitbit's emails to me about updates and progress. I want to stop the tracker from vibrating every single time I receive any email from any source.Like if my friend emails me a link to buy some event tickets, or a store emails me its weekly flyer, or I get emailed a receipt for a recent purchase. But I JUST want to stop email alerts and not everything else if I can help it. Text message alerts are OK. As are weather ones. It's just that I receive so many emails throughout the day that I don't need the tracker buzzing every 20 minutes or so, including all through the night.

If there's absolutely no other way and I have to turn off any non-Fitbit notifications, for things like text messages or weather alerts or whatever, fine. I'll live with that. But what I don't want to do is stop the tracker from vibrating for everything including fitbit's own alerts, which seems to be what "do not disturb" mode does.I still want movement reminders, goal notifications, and those sorts of things that fitbit itself sends. I just don't want external email alerts.

And because I know it's the first thing that's going to get recommended: I went into the app to the "push notifications" and "email notifications" categories in the app. But those options appear to control Fitbit's internal notifications, like its emails to me about progress or weekly status reports, or exercise or movement reminders. The options in those menus do not look like they control "every time your phone receives an email you will be buzzed on your wrist and get a notification"

I know this used to be doable because I got email and text alerts on my old Charge 2 and was able to shut that off. I just don't see the option now on the updated app.

Hello @MV_Nem

This help page has the instructions on how to set up notifications from your phone to your Fitbit device (<-- click link).

Please let us know if this worked to turn off notifications for emails from your phone.
