How do I add an activity that is not on the current list. I used to be able to add customized activities using my dashboard. Since the dashboard is no longer available, I cannot find instructions on how to add an activity via the FitBit app.

Hello @steeplepeeples & @jng415
This help page has the information about the activities that are auto recognized (<-- click link).
Currently, there isn't a way to add a custom activity in the Fitbit app. If you are wanting to do an exercise that is not included in the list, the option is to use generic "Workout" or "Sport".

Please note that any exercise not on the current list might be chosen as a Workout. Feel free to post any suggestions you have on our Product Feedback board.
This isn’t an answer. I have the same question. Can you actually provide an answer? How do you add types of exercises to be auto recognized like Fitbit previously did?

Thank you! This was exactly what I didn't want to hear. I was hoping I just couldn't find a way. I used to love being able to track my performance over time for the multiple exercise videos I do at home. What a bummer.
The limitations are all a function of getting rid of the dashboard which was a terrible mistake. The functionality took a hit and the experience followed. People should be able to re-order the current exercises and add an exercise. The feature to move the most recent 5 to the top is a good idea, but having to scroll down to "Run" and "Weight..." (and passing by the ever-popular "Canoeing") is ridiculous. The engineers should be embarrassed that limitation. (I like canoeing and enjoyed it the one time I did it when I was 10).
