Some weeks ago the ability to add food consumption in the Charge 6 was totally lost. Thursday, December 4th, 2025 is the day (CST) that NO food consumption could be added using the app, The next day, OLD data (from Fitbit Google and personal additions already made) could be added and the nutrition tracked, BUT THE ABILITY TO ADD NEW FOODS, commercial or homemade, WAS LOST.
The issue is tied directly to the graying our of the serving type dropdown icon. It is not possible to select a unit (piece, g, kg, oz, fl oz, lb, serving, etc.), so all the other information inserted to complete the new food addition is not saved, wasting a lot of time and causing a lot of frustration as attempts to add new items are futile, week after week.
People who track their nutrition information often know how to determine it for their homemade concoctions, and certainly know how to add the many new commercial products Google Fitbit is NOT loading, so how about restoring the tool needed to do this, and pronto. I'd think a month is long enough to fix it, and was really disappointed to find it wasn't fixed with the latest software update
