I read some topics for the charge 5 dating back to 2021 (!) with the same question and yet still nothing has changed.

For the Fitbit to have any worth during swimming AT LEAST there should be a live lap counter. PLEASE add this feature ASAP! The lack of it makes my newly bought charge 6 pretty useless.

@Stevvh unlikely going to happen considering that live metrics have been removed from Sense 2 while they were present on Sense. Looks like Fitbit would rather downgrade it further than make it better. Also, Charge 6 seems to struggle a lot with automatic lengths counting (for me, it always undercounts by a lot).

Well, in that case I'll return it. There's no use for having a health tracker when it doesn't do the job during sports.

Sticking with my rusty Mi Band 7 for the time being.
