Additional Update Regarding Fitbit Sleep Data Disappearing

As several users have already reported, the current issue with Fitbit appears to involve:

  1. Inability to view today’s sleep data within the app, and

  2. Disappearance of previously recorded sleep data when attempting to access past entries.

It does not seem that the data was lost or never collected — rather, this appears to be a bug within the Fitbit app. Here’s why:

  • When checking the sleep data via the watch face (Charge 5), today's sleep duration is often visible. If it shows as missing, simply tapping the screen seems to refresh it and display the data.

  • On the home screen of the Fitbit app, today’s sleep often shows as “No data.” However, if we tap it and switch from “Day” to “Week” view, today’s data does appear in the weekly graph. Yet returning to the home screen still shows no sleep data. (and the data disappears after we access to the day's data)

  • Even after sleep data disappears from the daily view, logging out and back in sometimes allows users to temporarily view it again in the weekly view.

Given this behavior, we strongly believe this is not a data loss issue, but a server-side or app display problem.

Please prioritize resolving this issue.
We are conducting a large-scale research study involving over 400 participants, and sleep data is critical to our analysis. We've also been receiving a growing number of complaints from participants.

Thank you for your attention and support.
