American Express Not Adding to Wallet (Charge 6 /// Google Wallet)

What is the current status? As I just upgraded from a 5 to a 6 and this should have been corrected prior to release.

As a fellow fitbit user on the community, the best we can say is the list of banks. As users, we have no access to the developers timeline 

You could call the number on the card and ask if there is a known issue. My understanding is that the bank needs to set this up. 

Alternatively, contact support.

Everything you said is known... I'm asking Fitbit for an update, as there are several people in this group who stated Fitbit is working on it with AMEX... However, I'm asking Fitbit for an update. Simply replying generically to a question or concern doesn't help, other than push it to the top again = ) Thanks

@senfinger   You're right about the lack of a response from a Moderator, a Fitbit employee.  There are threads in the Sense 2 and Versa 4 forums, too.  Some time ago, I had a talk with a Fitbit employee (not a moderator) about contactless payments.  Individual banks decide whether or not to participate, because the bank must make a financial investment in implementing and maintaining the virtual card system.  It's AMEX's decision.

With the recent refreshes for the iOS app, I have been repeatedly trying to add my Amex/Hilton card to the wallet on my Charge 6.

Today, on my iPad (10th generation) with iOS 17.5.1, using Fitbit app 4.18*, the Amex card successfully added. 

The Amex card was already in the “cloud” wallet repository, so I simply pressed the “Add new card” button.  A verification code was sent to my phone to complete the process for adding the Amex card to the wearable’s wallet repository. It now has the preferred Amex card, along with Bank of America Visa and Master Card.

* 4.18 is from last week.  I see that 4.19 is now the current build for iPad.
