Hello @Sfon

Every now & then, my sleep tracking gets messed up and I get the basic sleep tracking details: Awake, Restless, Asleep. It doesn't happen too often.

That said, the heart rate sensor is needed to get the detailed sleep graphs. Do you see a green light on the back of your Charge 6? That light is the heart rate sensor.

If you don't see a green light, check that Heart Rate didn't get turned off. To check:

  • Swipe down from the clock face on your Charge 6 until you get to the Settings tile and tap on it
  • Swipe up to find Heart rate. It should be turned on. If it's not, tap on it to turn it back on.

I have the same issue and no sleep score today. Heart rate is reported. The sleep time was also grossly incorrect. What’s happening?

Hello @Wonderthoughts

Have you had a chance to correct your sleep time in the Fitbit app? If not, that's probably the first place to start. I've had nights where the Fitbit app doesn't show my correct sleep start & end times. When I correct them in the Fitbit app, my sleep graphs and score get updated.

If you haven't done this before, here's how to edit your sleep times in the app:

  • Tap on the Sleep duration tile to open the Sleep page
  • Tap on the 3 vertical dots in the upper right and select Edit sleep
  • Tap on Edit to the right of your sleep session
  • Enter the correct sleep start/end time and tap on Save in the upper right
  • Tap on the X in the upper left to get back to the Sleep page
  • Tap on the arrow in the upper left to get back to the Today page

It might take a few minutes for the Fitbit app to update your sleep graphs and score.

Let us know if this worked for you.

Yes I have been doing that quite regularly. I never had this issue with my charge 5. I probably edit my sleep time 3-4 times a week because it is not accurate. T  he asks for the advice. My sleep score returned today and got full sleep data. Perhaps the upgrade was an issue? How to know….

Hello @Wonderthoughts

Thank you for letting us know that you got your sleep score and full sleep data.

I wish I knew what causes our devices or the Fitbit app not to properly track our sleep. It can so frustrating at times.

My Charge 6 just experienced the same thing today.  It seems the sleep tracking feature is decreasing in usefulness.

Well that’s interesting …. Mine miraculously was cured. Not that I did
anything different. But now ….. I have problems with the cardio load
feature. Haven’t had a target by my score or on the graph yet. I do
sometimes get a suggested range that disappears if I click on it.

Patience is a virtue with Fitbit!! New brand slogan ?!

Hello @Wonderthoughts

I saw a Moderator post from 07 Jan 2025 stating that an update to the Fitbit app will start rolling out soon and includes general issue fixes for the Cardio Load and Target Cardio Load. That said, I've seen some users report that they updated their app this week to version 4.34, indicating that the rollout has started.

The updates tend to rollout in waves. Keep checking your app store for the update and install it when it's available to you.

Please let us know if you still see issue with the Cardio Target Load after installing version 4.34.
