I am a new fitbit user and I got the charge 6 and when I looked for extra compatible apps I couldn’t find any. Is this because its new and doesnt have any apps yet? If not please could I have recommendations.

Hello @AaronyPasta and welcome to the Community. The Charge 6 is a tracker and Fitbit doesn't allow third party apps on any of its trackers. Your Charge 6 should be preloaded with all available apps.

There are none just as there are no additional compatible clock faces.
This is the most disappointing wearable device I've ever purchased and due to lack of customization and additional features will likely rarely use. Especially since I have 6 other options sitting on my dresser that have a far larger degree of customization and more features rich at that.
Purchased mine as an unobtrusive alternative choice but seriously disappointed in the lack of customization and additional optional features.
Considering the link in the app is supposed to open to "compatible apps" you only find there are none after wasting a considerable amount of time as they aren't sorted by device. It's only after wasting time searching each and every one that you realize the only apps and clock face choices are the ones that are preloaded, making the Charge 6 a bottom tier wearable device not worthy of the price.

This is an interesting comment to me. I am coming from the world of the early fitbits, with the Charge 6 being my fourth. Each new one brought a significant improvement in features compared to what I was used to and I am not significantly disappointed with the functionality of the Charge 6 (though I think its list price is a bit much for what it is). To me, the Charge 6 is not supposed to be like a smartwatch -- it's an upgrade of my Inspire HR with a bigger, color, more responsive glass screen, a more comfortable (flatter) shape, and some new bonus features -- so while more faces and apps would be cool to have, they're not really necessary to me. But to someone jumping in at this point where actual smartwatches are common, the lack of smartwatch-ness could be a big negative.

See here's the thing with some context on this. I have been on the lookout for Google to add app customization back into the the Fitbit charge series because the thing is, those features were available on the Charge 4. It wasn't until the Charge 5 that Fitbit removed the ability to install apps. I was extremely disappointed moving from the Charge 4 when mine broke after a few years of good use to the Charge 5 as it was objectively a better device with more fitness related features. I came to discover though that the removal of app support in the Charge 5 made the Charge 5 a significantly less useful wearable than its predecessor even with the additional features.
There are still forum posts to this day with active Charge 5 users still asking to have the calendar app, among several others added back without a single peep from Fitbit about whether or not they plan to do so.

Given that the Charge 6 also doesn't have app support the answer seems pretty clear there. But what is really frustrating is Fitbit's refusal to acknowledge this to thier customers at all and saying they are not returning app support to their Charge series line. I can only imagine this is because the Charge series already has no business justifying its price.

I bought mine less than a month ago. I assumed the high price 100 more than my Huawei was for a higher quality product . The sleep tracker more accurate but the watch is glitchy. The straps falls off. The GPS is rubbish. I think the charge 6 is probably more sold for style than substance. 140 tracker that is not considered properly water resident and very glitch. I do like the sleep tracker and will enjoy it while it works before it falls off and gets lost or broken. But objectively it is an over priced poor quality product that is not fit for purpose. I think trying to milk another 10 a month to sell you youtube premium on an already questionable product is a bit silly. Huawei may promote their other products to a lesser degree but Huawei give you their products for almost nothing and the reliability is so much better I had to restart my huawei less than handfull of times in 4 years. I had to restart my charge 6 more in a week. If i wanted the sleep data to show in the watch everyday would need to restart more still . I feel more confident wearing my charge 6 because I know its only 35 to replace it with a Huawei the 140 is a sunk cost. If charge 6 was the only tracker and if lost had to pay 140 with the dodgy straps and poor quality i would worry about wearing it for fear replacement cost. Less than a month and already came of when outside.
