Is there a setting that would enable a silent automatic activity (esp. walking) detection , so that my Charge 6 would start tracking WITHOUT buzzing and asking me to start tracking (and repeating this prompt every minute if I dismiss or ignore it?). I walk part of my commute and I would really like to have my walks recorded but I need to see the clock face, not a prompt or activity tracking screen, when I lift my hand. Also the constant buzzing is annoying. It used to work without issues on Charge 4 but I cannot find the right setting now.

Hi, @Gryllotalpa Welcome back to the community, it is nice to see you around.
Thanks for taking the time to post this situation about the automatic activity tracker on Charge 6.
I recommend you to follow these steps to turn off auto-recognize feature:
- From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the Exercise days tile.
- Tap more, and then tap Activity Settings.
- Tap an exercise, and adjust the duration or turn off Auto-recognize.
You can also check more information here.

Dear Chris,
If I got it right, would not this disable the automatic tracking? That is not what I need, I want my walks to be tracked automatically without any request for manual confirmation on the device ( as it was on Charge 4). The device should not ask me every time if I want to track the autorecognized exercise, it should just track it ( silently, in the background) and show the result on the dashboard. Is this option no longer available?

Unfortunately, there is no way to turn off the auto-detect of walking on the Charge 6. Even if you have that feature turned off, the device will still buzz and force you to manually clear the walk detection.

@CrisVillaFitbit This doesn't work. It is impossible to top auto-detection of walks on Charge 6.
