App Notifications option is missing

ANSWERED

My Charge 6 stopped receiving app notifications. I have restarted many times, restarted bluetooth, re-paired with bluetooth, reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, updated my preferences etc. The option to set notifications has also disappeared from the device menu.

Hi there, @cmmatrix.

Thanks for sharing the steps that you've tried. I'm sorry this is happening to you and so we can work on this together, may I know what options appear after tapping on Notifications? Also, do you recall since when this started to happen?

In the meantime, let me suggest reconnecting your tracker with the following steps:

  1. Forget your Charge 6 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and restart your tracker with the button.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and tap Devices at the upper left corner.
  4. Select the option to add a new device and choose your Charge 6.
  5. Tap Replace Device, follow the on-screen instructions and try setting up your notifications.

Thank you LizzyFitbit, you are a miracle worker! That one extra step of 'adding a new device' caused the Notifications options to return to the menu and allowed me to add back the apps I wanted linked. It appears to be functioning once again. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
