Excited to finally have a new Fitbit. Ordered Charge 6. It pairs with my phone/app, but will not make it through the Update. I don't really want to return it and get a different device, but after reading all the "woes" for updating the Charge 6, maybe that's what I should do. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

As I read other Charge 6 posts, I found one which said they had "restarted" (clicked the 'power' button on the Charge 6) the fitbit to get it to work.
I decided to try that, and was amazed to see that it worked for me, too!
Looks like I'm ok.... 🤞

Hello @Martysip
I moved your post from the Android platform forum to the Charge 6 product help forum since your issue seems to be with updating the device and not the Android Fitbit app.
This help page has the recommended troubleshooting steps to try when you're having problems updating your Fitbit device (<-- click link).

Thanks very much. It seems it was ALMOST done, and only needed a nudge. Someone suggested pressing the 'power' button on the Charge 6, like a restart. I was blown over. That worked! All of a sudden, it seems things are working. Whew. Relieved.

I think I'm ok now. At someone else's suggestion, I 'restarted' the fitbit (clicking its 'power' button), and poof(!) everything seemed to be working. Go figure.
But, I'm happy!

Since 'restarting' my Charge 6, I've had no problems. I'm good now. Thanks.

I restarted my new charge 6 numerous times and it won't update with my iPhone. After disconnecting the new charge 6 from my iPhone and connecting it to a Samsung android phone, the update worked. Is there an issue with the fitbit app on latest version of IOS and the update process? I believe there is.

Same here, iPhone 14 with latest iOS and new Fitbit Charge 6. Tried everything for 2 days now. It says it is updating, then stops and reverts back to the install app screen. Fixing too send it back for credit. Even deleted all my Charge 5 App and reinstalled app on phone, just won't sync.
