I can not edit any details of a workout using the "edit" button in the app. I went for a run, but at some point the GPS lost signal. I ran 3.5 miles -- I know this because I run the same route frequently, and I also use Runkeeper on my phone. When i finished, Fitbit said I ran 3 miles. I tapped the pencil to edit, and it lets me change the distance, and even updates the other stats accordingly (pace, etc.). But after a few seconds, I just watch it switch back by itself.
So it kind of seems like the tracker is incorrectly tracking workouts, then the app doesn't allow me to manually fix the error. This makes the tracker almost useless. Is this a bug in the app, and how can I fix it?
Thanks

Hello @Skepticrat
It's been frustrating that the known issue on the Fitbit side affecting our ability to edit our completed workouts has yet to be fixed. Although, as far as I know, the team is aware & working on fixing the problem, I haven't seen a timeline for the fix.
For now, there isn't any troubleshooting that we can recommend since the issue is on the Fitbit side.

Thank you for posting as i came to the forum looking for this subject. It's incredibly annoying not being able to edit auto-recognised exercises. I jog on the spot and "elliptical" is picked up. I edit it and the exercise reverts back to elliptical straight away. I've been told by customer support its a known issue with no timeline to correct it. It's been the same for months.
I've just switched from the Inspire 2 to the Charge 6. I'm regretting it.

Right, I've actually found posts that are one or two years old now about this with the response still saying it's a known issue and we're working on it with no timeline.
I'm pretty much assuming they're just not planning on fixing this and they're just gaslighting us. And worse, the only support offered by Fitbit is this forum, which is just other Fitbit owners talking about issues they're having. There's essentially zero support for this. I'd rather not lose 4 years of data by ditching Fitbit, but I'm not really sure what my options are here
