Can't Change Charge 6 Watchband

The watchband that came with my Charge 6 is causing a rash (as has ever other watchband for all the other Fitbits I have owned).  When I tried to remove the top band took several attempts before I could take it off.  Once successful I tried to add the cloth watchband I have used on multiple other Fitbits, but it would not stay attached.  I tried it on the bottom it attached perfectly.  I repeated this process with multiple other bands with the same result.  When I tried to reattach the original band, it would not stay attached either until I wiggled it around and then I heard a click, and it attached.  I took it off and tried this with the other bands, but that did not work.  Again, this is only on the top of the Fitbit, so it is not a problem with the bands, but the clip itself.  Even though this one is less than a month old, I cleaned it thoroughly to make sure there was no dirt or gunk interfering with the mechanism.  I don't to waste the warranty for a return - especially since I got the extended warranty - as I know that they only cover the replacement for a year, but if I can't wear the device because it causes a rash then I am stuck.

@DaRealBigDaddyG were your other bands purchased from Google or from an authorized retailer? Official Google bands for the Charge 5 and Charge 6 are interchangeable. Bands from third-party sellers may not be.

The bands all work on the bottom of the Fitbit but not the top.  And, as I noted in my original post, I had to struggle to even get the original band to reconnect it.  So, the issue is not with the bands but the connector itself.
