Cardio fitness score doubled in 2025 but I'm still excellent?

For some unknown reason at the start of 2025 my cardio fitness score jumped from the high 40s to mid-90s. The online guidance says 40s are good for my age and gender, however my score in the 90s still calls me excellent. Help?

Hello @Dddbos

By any chance, have you confirmed that your profile info is still accurate? To check:

  • Tap on the You tab at the bottom of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • Tap on Edit profile and confirm your information is correct. If it's not, tap on Edit in the upper right, follow the prompts to correct the information.

Hi @Dddbos.  I just want to add that your cardio fitness score is an estimate of you VO2max.  There is no level above excellent.   Elite endurance athletes can have a VO2max that high.

Unless you suddenly became an ultra marathoner, I agree with @RiekoC and something could be off with your profile.  Check you Google profile, too.  Some users reported that their Google birth year is or got changed to 1900.
