Cardio load inconsistent

Anyone else thinking that the Cardio Load "insights" with Fitbit premium is not trustworthy? Yesterday it was telling me to slow down as U was at risk of over training and within 12 hours it's saying that I need to work harder as I'm at risk of under training

It's been an issue with lots of people it seems...my zone minutes..cardio load..target load are all completely skewed.I used to have charge 5 for 1.5 years so know my past cardio load ..target load..zone min history for comparisons with my recently updated charge 6.

It's not at all relevant to my gym strength training intensities. I have posted a thread here.. chatted with customer support..updated my version..reset my app etc Still nothing seems to work.

I am hoping the company realizes it's an "issue " and updates the glitch .

I'm beginning to wonder if they care because they advertise cardio load on the new products they're selling like it's a good thing.

I did pretty much everything you did with the same response and results (I have a Pixel watch).

😞 let's hope there is a solution!

Hello

Post the latest update roll out also no change I'm cardio load and zone minutes. It just isn't relevant to the exercises done.

I was told post the 22nd April update this glitch will managed but doesn't seem so..

Any suggestions what can be done

Can I get my charge 6 replaced?

So far, cardio load does its own thing and Zone minutes is doing its own thing.  But they are finally slowly converging.  And the cardio load is more reasonable now.  Earlier in the month it recalibrated (it informed me so) to a more reasonable limit.  And it seems to be making recommendations based on my activities the previous day.

I almost agreed with what you're saying until today. Yesterday I went 80 points over my max and the graph had me on the high side pretty far. Today I'm at risk of under training and I'm below the recommended parameters. It's still junk unfortunately. The concept is nice, but it's still junk.

Today I have two prompts for cardio load target: one telling me to take it easy (1-29), the other telling me I’m at risk for undertraining (ninety to one hundred 40). When I had several days of high activity a couple of weeks ago, it automatically switched me from maintaining to improving which completely whacked out the cardio load targets after that. So I’m just going to do what I can and keep going regardless of what it says. As others say if you tried to keep up with the load targets as prompted you’d end up injured or worse!

SAAAME. I also did the exact same exercise today as I did yesterday except today I kept myself at a higher heart rate because I wasn’t feeling as tired, and my cardio load came out to 5!!! When yesterday it was at 43 after my exercise??

I never had this problem.  The cardio load doesn't match the active zone minutes, but they're always close.  The cardio load target is also getting more consistent.  Yes there are times when one day I'm improving and the next I'm undertraining, but now I can anticipate as my exercising is consistent.

Yes, absolutely! It goes from recommending 0-50 as a target (a normal day) to saying I should hit 250 to 330 for several days running. On a day of intense activity (like 23k steps, or several hours of cardio), I think I've peaked at 320, but those aren't normal.

Anyhow, it's so frequently off the mark that I don't find it useful at all. I don't think it's properly calibrated, despite having nearly 6 months of data and it doesn't pick up on my patterns of exercise... Or reality.

Agreed. And very disappointing that there is no response from either Google or Fitbit. Maybe it’s time to move your a more reliable product?

My average monthly is 44. Today it’s at 146!!! This can’t be right!

It doesn't make any sense, I am very active and do a lot if walking and workouts and also average around only 46.  It never allows a rest day and gives me targets in the 100s that I'd have to run all night to achieve. And this is just maintaining!

I know my C6 does not record HR as accurately as my old C2. So I think the issue is that although I'm active, my heart rate isn't getting into the 'zone' to be able to achieve cardio score.  My HR tends to stay in the moderate zone with short visits to 'vigorous'. I know you can manually change the zones so I might try that.

I chatted with Fitbit help last night and got no where in terms of an explanation as to why my cardio load was 157 yesterday when my average is about 44. They also had no explanation why my heartbeat rate was at 155 the night before at midnight when I was laying in bed. I’m certain I would have noticed that!!

That is very irritating. I have to be careful what I really think because I'll get blocked for not meeting the standards. That being said, I'm wondering what good is this community if Fitbit doesn't respond to the same issue a lot of people have.

I’m not having the problem I mentioned above anymore but my recommended cardio load is still either crazy high or insanely low. I just don’t pay attention to it anymore especially after seeing how many other people are struggling with the same thing 😅

I agree with you. I was on a help chat with Fitbit for 45 minutes and didn’t get any solution.

Sadly, the Fitbit people seem to ignore the concerns of their customers. A
number of customers have raised concerns about the total unpredictability
and indeed the randomness of the cardio features, but no response. But
there will come a time when I decide to replace my device! As things stand
I won’t be a repeat customer ….
