I have supra-ventricular tachycardia (SVT), common among long-distance runners. My doctor and I were really hoping that the fitbit would capture some of the events so we could have documentation because I don't have events frequently.
I had one this morning where my heart rate went from 59 - 108 and stayed there, and the EKG monitor kept erroring out with the message, "please reopen the application." This is a brand-new fitbit. I have tried to reboot to no avail. I need this fixed or I am just going to return it and buy an Apple watch which is ugly but at least it works.
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Thanks, the cable restart never works but at least the watch now restarts from setting. I did notice that HR was turned off in the settings, so I turned that on as well. I appreciate the help, thank you.
