I gave up believing in this update. I'm not convinced it's real at all. No one has it.

I decided to contact Fitbit support and they said they are consulting a higher team. They always do this. They can't just figure it out the first time I contact them

Will Fitbit be announcing when they make the update available? It is obviously not yet available for users and the ETA of "next couple of weeks" was not true.
Will they be explaining why the update was held back or the announcement released prematurely?

Might be 'rolling out' for you but here in the UK there is still no sign of the update as we move into October!
---
Glad its not just me......... works for a couple of days then refuses to sync. Only solution (and I've tried all of the 'helpful tips') is to disconnect/unpair the Charge 6, totally remove the app from my phone and start again from scratch. Then, 30 minutes later having got everything set up as it was before it works perfectly............ for another couple of days before Groundhog Day returns! I'm ready to throw my Charge 6 in the waste bin - its been one disaster after another since Google took over. First the silent disappearance of the floors app which was a vital tool on my previous tracker, then the fiasco of constantly being told to 'install the SpO2 app' and being informed that 'it is not available for this deviceI'. Now the incredible frustration of sync failures with lost data and total re-installations needed every few days. I will never buy another device from this joke of a company. I bought a 'smart watch' from China via eBay which cost less than 15% of what I paid for my Charge 6 and it does 90% of the tasks my Charge 6 is 'supposed to do' - and does them reliably and without needing constant troubleshooting!

So @Smartrich you have a confirmed sighting in the wild... it might be the first that I have seen. You are Charge 6 or other? (announced for the Charge, but updated on the google page for various devices)

Still not updated. I have sent support a note every 2 weeks since the "available" announcement. Got the typical troubleshooting response at first but it's been a "please wait" since then. Seems like a broad issue that warrants some broad-based communication.

Sounds like it was another calamity. Probably caused more issues than it fixed and got pulled.

@James1000 and I'd be okay(-ish) with that if they'd just tell us.

All we're asking is for clarity and expectation setting here. It's okay if the update has been pulled in order to mitigate issues, but someone from Fitbit should say that and let us know. Otherwise it's quite aggravating to a lot of us who are desperately hoping for a single decent adult watch face on this thing.

I am UK-based and currently on holiday in Italy.
There has been no update or explanation as to why the firmware update is not yet available.
Support suggested resetting the device, but that didn't work — I just lost all my data for nothing.
So, I have two options: either ignore the fact that an update exists, or dump this piece of rubbish in the bin and move on.
Shameful.

@JuanFitbit can you confirm for us that this update was not pulled back or delayed due to issues?
If it wasn't, is there a reasonable expectation that users should perform troubleshooting steps if we haven't received an update by tomorrow (14 October) since the release notes you linked indicated a release date of 14 July - three months ago?

I have a brand new Fitbit charge 6 and the version says 214.24. The cardio load readings are way understated, as compared to my charge 5. I understand that the new version 220.21 will fix this bug, but the Charge 6 is not telling me there is a new update. How do I fix this?

You can't. The release was "officially" in July. We were assured here that the update would be rolling out in the "next couple of weeks". Those couple of weeks rolled by and now it'll have been a couple of months by the end of the week with one report of someone having received the update. There is no way to force the update other than to make sure your device syncs and you check the app. So if you do want to fix it, bring it back to where you bought it and hopefully you can get a refund.

Hi everybody! Thank you for your messages and feedback.
The update is still rolling out. It hasn't been placed on hold.
I informed our team about your concerns, about not receiving the update yet and they will look into it.
In the meantime please keep the Fitbit app up to date and sync your Charge 6 at least 1-2 a day.
I'll update the thread as soon as we receive further info.

Still dont have it here either. Should we expect the roll-out to conclude in 2026 or 2027?
