Hello everyone,
brand new to the community and obviously with a topic that many have.
As a basis - I run together with a friend.
Friend: FitBit Charge 6
Me: AppleWatch 5
We only run with it, no additional cell phones.
The route is determined in advance using the FootPath app.
Specifically this morning, we run 3.3 km. The Apple Watch clocks 3.3 km, the Charge 6 clocks 3.85 km, which is of course a significantly faster running pace than the AppleWatch.
No matter what we use to check the route, it is actually only 3.3 km.
If you look at the result of the Charge 6, the route is extended by a lot of jumps to the left/right of the route.
I know that on Samsung phones, for example, you can set the GPS accuracy to "Accurate" and that helps a lot. Unfortunately, I can't find an option for this on the Charge6.
Now the interesting question - is the software simply not good enough and we all have to wait for an update and live with simply incorrect results until then, or are there any settings/improvements that can be made?
I look forward to your suggestions and hope this hasn't been discussed in umpteen posts that I simply couldn't find in a search 🙂
Greetings Timo

It does not look like you ever received an answer to your question. I have a GPS issue with my Charge 6 as well. However mine tracks well under what I have walked. Matter of fact the GPS only tracks half of where we walk! Seems to me that this Charge 6 from Fitbit is not very accurate! I know this did not help you other than to agree the Fitbit gps is not very accurate!

Thanks for your feedback.
Not a really satisfing situation.
Is someone offically from FitBit here? Maybe they could address this in any of the upcoming updates?
