Charge 6 GPS

My Luxe touch screen failed after 2.5 years and I got a Charge 6. I had used the Luxe with the Nike Run app in my neighborhood regularly, and the mileage tracking between Fitbit and Nike were always pretty close. Ex: run 2.5 miles and there might be a .1 mile discrepancy.

For the same routes with my Charge 6 I'm seeing a .5+ mile discrepancy with Nike. I verified with a third party app that Nike is correct. My activity map in Fitbit is a hot mess of squiggles rather than straight progressions on roads, and I think these endless zigzags are where the added mileage is coming from.

Fitbit app location settings are "Always on". Any other ideas for what I should check? Or is my tracker a dud?

I've read all about how Fitbit's GPS isn't good but I just want my new tracker to be "not as good" as the Luxe.

Ty for your ideas.

Hi @a1fton I jog the same laps and each time with GPS enabled for supposedly better accuracy.  And each time there is always a variance in distance/miles.  I find and I think it's really dependent when when GPS actually is connected and starts logging.  The zigzags could be when GPS connection was lost and then restored especially when it jumps from one point to another erratically.
