Charge 6 - No Sleep Data

(3/10/2025) My Fitbit Charge 6 has not reported my Sleep Data for the last few days. Since Sleep is a main focus area for me, I need to know how to resolve this issue.

I have looked at input on this issue previously provided by the Fitbit community, AND I have tried ALL the fixes suggested. BUT my Sleep Data is still not being reported.

Please respond in simple terms a Luddite can understand (e.g., I do NOT know what “force close the app” means).

Hi there @Cineman!

A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for letting us know that your Charge 6 has not reported your Sleep Data recently.

Have you already checked if your Charge 6 has a firmware update pending and if you can update the Fitbit app?

To update your device:

  1. With your charged Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app.
  2. Tap the Today tab > Devices > your device image
  3. Tap the pink Update button. This option only appears if an update is available.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions and keep the device close to your phone, tablet, or computer during the update. After you start the update, a progress bar appears on your device and in the Fitbit app until the update is complete.

If you have trouble updating your device, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

I suggest you read this article too: What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Hello @Cineman

My apologies for asking these questions.

Please confirm that you checked that Heart rate is enabled on your Charge 6 and that you see the green light on the back of your Charge 6. That's the heart rate sensor & is needed for sleep tracking.

I take it that you also tried moving your Charge 6 to the inside of your wrist as well as cleaned the back of the Charge 6 around the sensor area and you still didn't get sleep data.
