I set up my new Charge 6 a couple of days ago. The step sensitivity is ridiculous. I set it to my non-dominant wrist, checked my height and have increased my stride (which helped a bit). But a simple, non aggresive, hand washing adds fifteen to twenty steps. Step count is one of the main reasons I have a Fitbit. I could trust my old fitbit but I am now questioning wether any of the data on this new device is accurate. Should i ikeep ncreasing the stride?

Hello @SueTee and welcome to the Community. Changing your stride length changes the distance calculation per step. It doesn't have any effect on the step sensitivity. The dominant/non-dominant wrist setting changes the accelerometer sensitivity. If you wear your Fitbit on your non-dominant wrist, you can decrease, but not eliminate, extra steps by using the dominant wrist setting.

Thanks Laurie, I've tried everything from the Help site and the manual. It is still incredibly over sensitive. "Somewhat" accurate step count is important to me but my reading so far today is almost 2000 extra steps, so I will be returning the device.
