Charge 6 VASTLY over counting steps

It's on my dominant hand and I've calibrated my stride length but it's still massively over counting steps. Every slight arm movement is registering steps.

I wake up with over 200 steps registered and I'm not sleep walking.

My budget Mi band didn't have this problem.

Hello @MrStu

Wrist worn fitness trackers, including Fitbits, use accelerometers & arm movement to track steps. By wearing your Charge 6 on your dominant hand, your device will track more movement, therefore more steps.

Have you tried switching to wearing your Charge 6 on your non-dominant hand and change the device setting to Non-dominant hand to see if you get a more reasonable number of steps?

Tried that, but it didn't make a difference and I wear a watch on my other hand so I have to wear my fitbit on my dominant hand.

I can see that a lot of people have been complaining about this issue for years, so I'm now really regretting this purchase.

It seems disabling GPS calms it down a bit, but it's not something I should have to do to make basic functionality work
