Charge 6 battery draining fast

I’ve had my charge 6 since Christmas and suddenly the battery has started to drain really fast, I’m having to charge every day. Up to this point it’s been brilliant, only needing a weekly charge.

So to try and fix it I’ve so far:

- done a reset

- completed an update

- checked all the settings

anything else I can do, or is it faulty and need replacement?

many thanks

Hi there, @Mrsmcee74. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Charge 6 is draining quickly. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, I'd recommend making sure that your phone's software version is updated. For more information, refer to Check & update your Android version or Update your iPhone or iPad

Additionally, I'd suggest following the tips and recommendations provided here
Tips to extend your Fitbit device's battery life.

On a side note, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

Hi there,

my devices software is up to date and I’ve following the tips regarding battery life.

I realise that battery life deteriorates with age, but I’ve only had this charge 6 since Christmas- so not even 5 months yet. I do battery boost when in the shower. But for example I charged to 100% last night and when I woke up I was down to 54%. I put it back on charge to 100% and now at lunchtime I’m down to 40%.

The light on display is set to low etc as recommended on the tips.

This only started happening a couple of days ago, up until this point the battery has been performing as it should.
