I had a brand new Charge 6. After the first charge the battery lasted 7 days before needing charging, the next full charge lasted 4 days and then I was getting 2 days maximum. I did not change any of the original settings but the battery drained like a leaky sieve with it going from 73% at 10pm to 34% at 6am when I was sleeping overnight. I didn't have GPS turned on, only 1 alarm set and none of the other known power hungry functions were tuned on. I returned the Fitbit to Currys and got a replacement. Guess what? The replacement is doing the same thing! Has anyone else had these issues or know of a way to stop the increasingly speedy draining of the battery?
EDIT: I have now discovered the cause of the rapid drain overnight. I always turn my mobile off overnight but I tried leaving it on and the rapid draining didn't happen. BUT... I don't want to leave my phone on all night (call me old fashioned) so any ideas on how to get round this?

How long have you had the replacement device?
Also, your battery shouldn't be acting like that. I would contact Support (via the link at the bottom of the page) and ask for a Battery Test. That can help diagnose the issue.
Finally, did you purchase any sort of warranty?

It's 2 weeks old so still under manufacturer warranty. I find it strange that both the original and this replacement have exactly the same timings and issues with the battery.

Did you contact Support, as suggested?

I believe the trackers that Fitbit are putting out these days are trash. I've had Fitbit trackers since day one and now have the charge 5. I noticed that as of last year after a firmware or software update, my tracker keeps shutting off randomly. I have deleted all data from the tracker, un synced from my phone, deleted the app and then uploaded again...same issue. I have never had this issue with 1,2,3 or 4. I have read online that a lot of others are having the same issue. And now I read your questions and some comments of others here, that are having the same issue with charge 6. NOT good!!! When the tracker is working properly, I love it. But I think it's time to move on..for me. I've been looking at Garmin and Amazfit. I don't need all the bells and whistles, I only want fitness tracking. receiving text and calls. Mind you, I believe as of last year, Google bought Fitbit. So not sure what is going on there. Good luck!!! 😃

What is happening is that when your phone is off, your fitbit device is trying to connect to it. Since it failed, instead of the normal connection/sync cycle, I believe it goes into a loop where it just tries over and over and over which is depleting the battery.
This is common with new tech that when it can't 'phone home', it goes into brute force mode, trying over and over until it connects.

And to add to that thought (not sure if I can edit the post), to fix this, I would just leave your phone on, plugged into a charger over night and put it on DND. My phone does this based on time schedule. It will give you the effect of not being notified over night as well as allowing things to charge appropriately.

Assumingly they fixed the issue by lowering the polling rate. Could be related to BT stack as well.
Contact support, they might have a firmware fix even.
