Charge 6 died?

I have experienced the false battery reading for about a month.  Yesterday, with 70% charge, I was doing yard work and the charge 6 was unresponsive.  I washed off the dust and mud and set aside for a few minutes before connecting the charge cord. Several cycles of the reset procedure yielded nothing. Finally the logo displayed.  Tried reset again, nothing. At one point everytime I pressed the reset button on charger cord it vibrated but otherwise no response. Came back hours later and a red x was displayed.  Left it alone thinking it needed charging.  This morning nothing.  Same pattern of reset process nothing but occasionally the logo displays.  Will not sync with phone.  Thoughts?

@Werksfit6 Welcome to the Community.

That reads like you may have a Charge 6 failure.  Mine also failed, however the display/face went blank first, then eventually would not charge the internal battery.

Are you using and Android or iOS device?  Under "Important Links" in the appropriate Platform are "Tips for Syncing with your <...platform device>".  Once you can sync with your device, some users have resolved unusual glitches by changing the time zone, restarting, validating all is well, changing the time zone back to original and restarting again.

If this does not resolve the issue, your the next step is typically to open a Case with Support.  Again, your post reads more like a Charge 6 hardware issue, than it does like any glitch.

It was still a brick this morning.  But did display logo for a moment.  Using ios.

Currently, it does sync with the phone.  Seems to work intermittently.  Tap to wake has only worked twice in the last half hour.  If I can get awake again will try a reset.

@Werksfit6 There is a way you can reset it from the charging cable. You can validate in the docs, but with it plugged in and charging you press and release the button on the USB end, 3 times for 1 second each press, within a total of 8 seconds.

Thanks, I'm well versed in resetting with cable.  So functioned once this morning.  Then died!  Back on charge cord and reset.  Seemed to be working. Put on and went to work.  It did not work the rest of the day.  Got home, ever hopeful, put on charge cord.  Nothing no response.  Left it there for a couple of hours.  Taped twice and logo displayed, and then the time.  Oh happy day, right?!  I swiped up and the next page displayed showing it had not recorded a single thing all day.  Then it died again.  Battery showed 100% before display went dark.  Reconnected cord nothing! Time to give up!  No No wait just a minute I picked it up and tapped twice and it turned on.  Then I noticed the charge was now 82% when just a few minutes ago, the time it took me to type this it had drained 18%.  Now is completely unresponsive again.  RIP!

I'm in the same boat as you. I did all the resetting bits and finally gave up and left it on the charger for 24 hours - I'm at the "battery showed 100%" point and am curious to see if I get the same response/battery drain. Fun times.

That is enough that you should open a Case with Support.  When I opened one, Support asked me to try 1 thing I had not yet tried. After that it was on to a replacement.
