I "upgraded" from an Inspire to a Charge 6 specifically because the Charge 6 has GPS. I hate the shorter battery life, the bigger size, and the ugly colorful screen, but I wanted to track runs on Strava without having to take my phone. Before making the purchase, I read Strava + Fitbit docs back to front to be sure that I'd have that single functionality.
Yet after I go for a run, the recorded activity doesn't have a map. It doesn't sync to Strava (only mapped activities are supposed to), and the .tcx file is empty.
Yes, I make sure GPS is switched on before starting. Yes, I've enabled location services on my iOS device. It seems other users experience this and "resolve" it by switching the setting to phone GPS and taking their phone with them. 🤦
Side issue: The distance calculation for this run was .4 miles short, though it was recorded accurately the first time I tracked with the Charge on the same course.

I have the same problem. I upgraded from an Inspire 3 to a Charge 6 to get the GPS. The GPS function doesn't seem to track, though, even though I've made sure it was on either Dynamic or Built-In. I switched it to Phone and the app shows maps again. Disappointed that built in GPS looks FUBAR.

Thanks for the affirmation. I wonder if they own the fact that this is essentially false advertising 🤔 @LizzyFitbit ?
