Charge 6 keeps asking to install Fitbit app

New charge 6 said it’s paired but Nothing on watch face but download Fitbit app which is already available on my phone. I have had 3 other fitbits & never had any trouble what different only thing I can see is that u have to have google acct which I have 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:🤷🏼‍:female_sign:can anyone help.

Sorry to see you're having trouble with setting up your Charge 6. 

Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

  • You mention that you previously had Fitbits. I take it that you made sure to delete your previous devices from the Fitbit app before adding your new Charge 6. 
  • With a new Fitbit, you probably will need to sign in/transfer to your Google account. If you are still using your Fitbit account, try signing in with your Google account. 
  • Restart your Charge 6 using the charging cable that came with your device. If you would like instructions on how to do this, see page 53 of the Charge 6 manual (<-- click link) 
  • You could try uninstalling the Fitbit app, then re-installing it. Log in with your Google account. Delete the Charge 6 and add it back as a new device.

Hopefully, one or a combination of these troubleshooting steps will get your Charge 6 setup with your Fitbit app.

You will want to transfer your login to a Google login fitbit tells us. 

However a few users got their Charge 6 to work without a Google login. 

Does the fitbit app show the Charge 6 connected to your fitbit account?

Thanks but I had to call customer service and it took them a while to fit it

Hi, I did all these steps but no luck. It seems Dab1973 had to call support, is there anything you can add to give robust instructions?
