Charge 6 map disappeared in Fitbit app

ANSWERED

So for a while now I have not been able to se where I went on walks and runs!? Other things like distance and steps are showing, but I want to see where I went and derails about speed and all the stuff that used to be available on the map, I want those things back.

I hope it wasn't moved pehind a pay wall, as it will be my final goodbye to fitbit. Anybody else with the same problem and how to fix it plz?

The fitbit map does not work as well as it once did. Street names, trail names, points of interest are missing. It may show the route but no details. What good is a map without the details? Apparently this is the way its going to be so maybe its time to get rid of the fitbit. This Versa 2 and the app used to be really great. Not so much anymore without the good map function.

Welcome to the forums @KasperDK

Thank you for sharing the details regarding this situation with your app.

I'm not sure if you are still having the difficulty. Please follow these steps:

  • Log out from the Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  • Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
  • Check if the issue is still happening.

Before I had time to try your suggestions, the watch failed completely, as in the screen went all black. I returned the watch to the reseller and got a full refund. This was my 3. and last fitbitt watch. They all failed, the 2 first with battery defects and the last one with a screen that died and also all the problems with propper tracking and normal map features missing... All in all I will strongly advice anyone from getting a fitbitt watch...

Here is the map after trying the suggestions. The red line is the trail I was on. The whole area should show trails and their names. Before Google purchased FitBit the map could be enlarged and it showed plenty of detail. Why doesn’t the map at least show what I can see on google maps? Whythechange?

Clearly Google has decided to mess up Fitbit and doesn't have any interest in fixing it. In my case, Inspire 3?, I can screenshot a map at the end of my walk if I'm fast:

1000036105.jpg, but then it changes to just the last segment of the Walk :

1000036104.jpg, and then it DISAPPEARS entirely. Just gone!  The ones in history are gone as well. Meanwhile the step count at the end of the walk or run suddenly is adjusted downward by 1000 or more steps a minute or two after I stop. I could provide screenshots of that as well. What the heck? Time to move to another brand of Fitness tracker apparently. And I've been using a Fitbit for 10 plus years.  What has anyone else found to be a better tool... like the old Fitbit?

Agree, something has gone terribly awry, and nobody to blame but Google, I think.  My maps have disappeared as well, and step counts change suddenly. Far less reliable. What other tracker brands do others find as useful as Fitbit used to be?

This issue still occurs for me. Even previous walks don’t show the map any more. I want this back.

I’ve also had two that have died on me. I’m on my third one. It’s not good enough.
