Charge 6 not automatically tracking outdoor bike

I just transitioned from a Versa 2 to the Charge 6.  The transition was flawless... kudos to the engineering team. The Versa had no issues automatically picking up on my bike rides. The Charge won't recognize the biking. I don't want to use GPS and id rather not have to "start" the exercise on the tracker. Am I missing something?

Hi @rickharris, thank you for posting in the community. It's great to have you here!

Let me help you manage the activities your Charge 6 will track automatically.

Charge 6 can automatically detect certain workouts and open the Exercise app after a few minutes. Make sure this feature is on:

  • Open the Exercise app.
  • Tap the Bike option.
  • Swipe up. Auto Start is turned on by default, but if you turned it off, tap to turn it back on. The next time your device detects this workout type, the Exercise app automatically opens.

For more information about the SmartTrack feature, see How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device? > What are real-time workout stats in the Fitbit app?
