Charge 6 not receiving notifications

My new charge 6 is not receiving notifications. Bluetooth is on and charge 6 is shown as connected but email WhatsApp and texts not appearing on tracker. Why?

Hi, @Chalkiesue are you using iOS or Android app. 

There are small differences between the two apps, but the basic instructions are 

Open the Fitbit app and click on the small icon top left (smartphone and watch)

On the next screen click on your device

On the device screen click on Notifications

On the notifications screen choose your options. 

Return to the device screen, and click on your device to force a sync (it is important always to sync your Fitbit whenever you make any changes in the app. ). Make sure that your Charge 6 shows synced just now.

If your notifications are all set up and you still are not receiving notifications then it is likely that your Fitbit is connected to your account but not currently paired.  You cannot pair it using the Bluetooth settings on your phone - you must only pair using the Fitbit app.  The best way of re-establishing the pairing is while your Fitbit and phone are next to each other, log out of your Fitbit account and log back in again (make sure you know your email address you use with your Fitbit account and the password!).  Logging back in again should force the app to ask you to confirm pairing.  Hopefully after that you will receive notifications normally.

If you have an Android phone you can check the pairing by going to the notifications screen and clicking on the 3 vertical dots top write and choosing send a test call.  Unfortunately I don’t know how to do this with an iPhone.

Your Fitbit app may have a different app as the default for email and texts in place of WhatsApp.

This help page (<-- click) has the instructions on setting up notifications from your phone to your Fitbit. Follow the steps to set up WhatsApp to get notifications for your email and texts.

Thank you. I’m now getting calendar alerts and wallet notifications but still no WhatsApps. Any more ideas?
