Charge 6 not swipe

My charge 6 will not swipe up down nor sideways. I have followed directions on several articles; restarted my phone, change the watch face, follow directions on  restarting the watch, remove the app and reinstalled, and so many other things I have tried. It also will not update. I have been trying to do this for several days. I am able to change the watch face, and also able to see my information on the app. I have no idea what else I could possibly do. I have read so many articles, and tried everything they have put in there. I've looked at tutorials with no resolution.

Yes, and each time I have tried to update it I have have it on the charger.
